This is a classical dialogue between two friends.
But let´s look closer at the grammar they use. It´s present continuous, isn´t it?
At the beginning of our journey into the English language we have learnt that present continuous tense is used to talk about “now and here” moment.
Now it´s time to add up to the use of the present continuous.
We can also use this tense to talk about confirmed future plans: appointments, arrangments.
We are going to the cinema tomorrow. They are signing the contract on May, 5th.
